William
T. (Bill) Monroe is the pastor of Florence
Baptist Temple in Florence, South Carolina. He
founded the church in November, 1969. After 38
years, the church has grown to an average
attendance of 1,600. He served two terms as
President of the Baptist Bible Fellowship
International from 2002-2006. He is the author of
three books, numerous pamphlets, and journal
articles in internationally-published magazines.
Bill and his wife, Norma, have three adult
children.
John W. Rawlings says, "Bill Monroe has given us a book that calls
us back to the Great Commission. The Great
Commission consists of three divisions which are
covered so adequately in these pages. Number one
is to make disciples; number two is to put them,
by the act of baptism, into a local general
assembly called the church; and number three is to
train them. Then and only then did Christ promise
to be with us until the end."
Elmer L. Towns,
Co-Founder of Liberty
University, says, "Ever since meeting Bill Monroe in 1974, he
has been committed to the Great Commission. His
life speaks the Great Commission, his ministry
fulfills the Great Commission, and no one is
better qualified to write on the Great Commission
than Bill Monroe. May this book motivate many
others to build a going church like Florence
Baptist Temple."
Bobby Welch, Past President SBC, Founder
of FAITH Evangelism, says, "There is no way
to carry out New Testament evangelism and church
building without understanding the Great
Commission. Dr. Monroe's lifetime of reaching
souls is revealed in Go. Read this book and then
provide it to every church leader you know—as soon
as possible!"
Keith Bassham,
Editor, Baptist Bible Tribune says, "Martin Luther did not invent the truth of
justification by faith, but he did re-discover
that long forgotten truth for his generation, and
the result was a sea change in church history.
Today, the Great Commission suffers not so much
from being forgotten as from being neglected.
Millions of Christians pay lip service to the
command of Christ to disciple all nations, but few
obey it as well as they could and should. Bill
Monroe's book gives us the logic, the rationale,
the motivation, and the how-to for a resurgence of
Great Commission action for the 21st century."
Evangelist Junior Hill says, "Bill
Monroe has done the cause of Christ a real favor
with his new book, Go. It is a sensible, Biblical,
and much needed emphasis for a day that seems to
have lost its vision or desire to win the lost.
Every pastor should read this book and lead his
church to implement the suggestions Bill offers.
It will make a difference!"
Larry
Upchurch, Pastor, Mid-Way Baptist, Raleigh,
says, "This book is challenging,
insightful, balanced, motivational and faithful to
God's directives to win the lost. I wish every
pastor would read this book."
David Bouler,
Pastor, Highland Park Baptist Church,
Chattanooga, says, "May God use
this book to return us to evangelism that will
impact our churches and our nation."
