What is the history of the iBaptist Network?
In October 2003, an historic meeting of several thousand pastors, missionaries,
and laymen was held in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Baptist Bible
Fellowship International, World Baptist Fellowship, and Southwide Baptist Fellowship for the
first time ever, held all their annual meetings under the banner of the
International Baptist Network.
Also in attendance were people from the General
Association of Regular Baptists as well as many conservative SBC and
unaffiliated Baptists. It had never occurred before 2003.
A spirit of fellowship,
an opportunity to meet new people, anointed preaching, and large crowds made it a
powerful experience. Many expressed an interest in continuing what began
there. We believe the iBaptist Network is the catalyst for re-energizing
Baptists in America.
We believe that if we are going to impact an unbelieving
culture with the reality of our faith and have any significant affect on our
times, we must model love for one another and the ability to work together.
